VR Business Sales represents owners of businesses with annual sales of $20,000,000 or less and valuations of between $100,000 and $10,000,000 in many industry and market segments. By working with VR, the seller will benefit from our many years of experience in acting as an intermediary in transactions of this size. The selling process is multi-step and VR will be key to making sure each is handled correctly.
Business Assessment: VR works with the owner to assess the readiness of the business to sell by reviewing current and historic financial data, future prospects, and organization and product/service strengths and weaknesses. VR will then make recommendations as to what could be done in advance of a sale to enhance the firm’s value.
Business Valuation: After the assessment, VR prepares a business valuation at no charge that defines a selling price that is based upon comparing the earnings, assets and good will of the business to sales of other similar businesses. This information is gleaned from VR’s own database of sales of over 60,000 sold businesses, purchased information from other independent databases and a search of what similar businesses on the market are selling for.
Marketing Your Business: VR conducts a confidential marketing campaign to financial and strategic buyers through our own in-house buyer and investor database that numbers over 2,000 contacts, web marketing and direct client and company contact. VR develops a comprehensive marketing package for your business that is sent to prospective buyers that have been pre-screened and signed a confidentiality agreement.
Buyer Screening: All buyers are pre-screened before they are given the company marketing profile and invited to meet directly with the owner to ensure they have the management skills and financial wherewithal to purchase and run the business and are serious buyers.
Transaction Negotiations: VR will assist in all phases of the negotiations including the development of an offer with a letter of intent to purchase, the conducting of due diligence, the negotiating of a final purchase and sale contract and being present at closing.
Buyer Financing: When required, VR will assist the buyer in securing financing through commercial lending and non-profit lending sources including SBA guaranteed loans from the many sources we’ve worked with in the past.
